Ashland, Ore. — Hundreds of children and their families gathered at the Ashland YMCA on Saturdayfor ‘Healthy Kids Day.’
The annual eventshowcases some of the programs offered to the for the summer.
The event coordinator says it really helps people in the community become aware of resources they have.
“Not all of the families in our community necessarily know what’s out there. And so, we try to bringing community partners that are offering programs that families can participate in over the summer,” saidMichele Mitzel, Executive Assistant & Communications Director of Ashland YMCA.
Attendees were also ableto enroll children in the YMCA summer program.
