Armed Robbery

A lottery lounge in Klamath Falls has now been robbed 3 times over the past 14 months.

‘Two Doors Down’ was robbed by a man with a gun early Saturday morning – and the owner is anxious for police to make an arrest.

Truman Gosney says it’s not the money that concerns him, but the safety of his employees…

“Then you get a jerk like this, just scaring them for no reason – and this type of person needs to be put away.”

Detective Sergeant Dennis Davenport of the Klamath Falls Police Department says the latest robbery happened just as an employee was opening up…

“They were approached by a suspect that had a handgun – and the suspect ordered them into the business, and obtained an undisclosed amount of money.”

The suspect fled, and Gosney says the employee was unharmed…

“He’s okay – he’s shook up, rattled, naturally.”

The suspect is described as a slender white male in his early 20’s. He was last seen wearing a two-tone dark colored hoodie, with a red and white t-shirt, and baggy blue jeans.

Police are still looking for an armed robber that hit ‘Two Doors Down’ on March 9th – and Gosney is frustrated…

“It’s two times this year – I’m tired of it.”

Two Doors Down was also hit by an armed robber in February of 2011. That robbery ended with an arrest and conviction.

Raymond Leonard Taylor of Dorris was captured on surveillance video threatening the clerk with a gun. He was later convicted in the robbery, and Taylor was also convicted of robbing a nearby ‘Purple Parrot’.

And Truman Gosney is tired of being targeted…

“It could happen anywhere – it’s always happening nowadays.”

And police are concerned that the gunman could strike again.

The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office reports that there have been 11 robberies through 2011 up to today’s date, and 317 burglaries over the same period.
