Ashland, Ore. — Ashland City work crews spent Saturday night cleaning up, after an accident involving an intoxicated driver. Police say the 20 year old woman was driving down Siskiyou boulevard, and didn’t make the turn near the fire station by main street, crashing into the pole.
“That curve, if you’re not familiar, it can come up on you pretty quickly, and so the driver, I don’t know if the driver was aware of the area, but probably was going faster than the conditions warranted, and went up over the curb,” Sergeant Bob Smith said.
The woman was not injured, and no one else was involved in the crash. Police say she was cited and released for DUII and criminal mischief.
