Ashland weekend tennis tournament wraps up

Ashland, Ore. — The 41st annual ‘Big Al’s Tennis Tournament’ wrapped up on Sunday in Ashland, following a full weekend on the courts.

The tournament had one of its biggest years yet, drawing in about 160 people, and 250 entrants. Players from all over the west coast came out to try their hand.

“I’m here with my team, Team Ascension, we’re from Redding, we all came down together, and we’ve been playing doubles, singles,” Kyle Pierson said. “It’s been fun!”

The tournament took place at Hunter Park in Ashland. Winners received pottery from Big Al’s.
