Ashland, Ore. –It’s a very special day for one Ashland woman as she blows out 103 candles!
Elizabeth Gardner was born in 1912, the same year of the sinking of the Titanic.She was born just outside of Belfast, Ireland. She’s lived in Ashland for a decade and was honored today by her family.
“When she was 95 she had a moment when she said this is getting tiresome then she said you kow I think I’ll go for 100 and that’s where it started,” son David Gardner said.
Gardner said she feels like she’s only 80, and hopes to live to be 113. She said the key to a long life is to eat well, get fresh air, and exercise.
