Crescent City, Calif. — California Highway Patrol says early Thursday morning 61-year-old John Evans Jr. was riding his bike north on El Dorado when he came to an intersection and did not stop.
A man driving a Ford Explorer was entering the same intersection after stopping at the stop sign and collided with the right side of the bicycle.
The impact ejected Evans from his bicycle and was pronounced dead on scene. The driver is not facing charges.
