Jacksonville, Ore. — The Britt Festival season kicked off in Jacksonville on Saturday.
The fourth annual “Taste of Summer’ celebration is the ceremonial beginning of Jacksonville’s Britt festival.
With plenty of music, food, wine and art, organizers say they hope to draw more and more people into Jacksonville as the summer starts up.
Sara King Cole of the Britt Festival said, “Jacksonville is a wonderful place for an event to happen, it’s the historic character, there are lots of lovely shops and restaurants here and this event is just kind of a great way to bring people into town and encourage them to come spend the day here.”
The event featured 20 local wineries, three stages with live music and plenty of classic cars.
The Fray, Barcelona and Oh Honey will officially begin the season on June 16th.
