Call About A Pipe Bomb Leads To Arrest

The South Medford Wal-Mart reopened Tuesday night after a bomb scare forced police to evacuate the building.

Medford Police say just after 8 Tuesday night someone called 9-1-1 saying his friend., who was drunk, put a pipe bomb in the electronics department and that he could set it off with his cell phone.

Police say they searched the store and found nothing but they did take the person who made the initial call into custody.

No word on any charges as of yet.

The store re-opened around 9:15pm.
