Medford, Ore. –A car crashed into an oral surgeon’s office Wednesday morning,damaging a room full of supplies and medical equipment.
Medford Police say one of their officers was driving westbound on Siskiyou Boulevard at around 12:40 a.m.when he saw a vehicle traveling east down Siskiyou at about 80 miles per hour.
The officer turned around to attempt a traffic stop. When he approached the intersection at Murphy Road,he discovered the 2003 Cadillac sedan had crashed into the medical building.
Medford Police say there were no tire marks on the grass leading up to the accident. They say the vehicle must have gone airborne before hitting a tree, crashing into a fence, and going straight into the building.
There were two passengers; both walked away from the accident and declined medical aid.
Police say the driver, 28-year-old Sarah Rosa, was lodged for DUII, attempt to elude, reckless driving, and criminal mischief in the second degree.
The building’s damage is estimated to cost $40,000.
