Medford, Ore. –Shoppers at a Medford Rite Aid got a major scare as an out of control driver smashed through the store front on Monday.
“It took out two large plate glass windows and the support for it so will definitely need some contractor work done to repair it.” said Jason John with Medford Fire Department who responded to the call around 11:45 at the Rite Aid near the Medford Shopping Center.
Police suspect the elderly woman-driver may have hit the wrong pedal causing her vehicle to hop the curb and crash through a hanging plant display and window.
One witness says her sister was inside, having a prescription filled when she saw the car go crashing through the glass. Police did not cite the woman and there were no serious injuries to report. Damage estimates were not immediatelyavailable.
