Cat survives 15 day trip in storage bin

White City, Ore.– If a cat has nine lives, the cat discovered in a storage bin may have one less.

Don Roush is the lead driver for pods a portable storage unit company in White City. And said while doing his daily routine of loading and unloading bins Monday,he heard something unusual.

“What in the world it’s…ya know..there’s a cat in there!…whats going on,” said Roush.

He said because of policy they’re not allowed to open bins without the owner’s permission. So Roush worked fast, tracking down a family from Mesa, Arizona.

“The gal was crying over the phone.”

With the relived owner’s okay, Roush unlocked the podand out came the cat.

“She’s already gone through two cans of food and who knows how much water.”

Roush said he doesn’t know how the furry friend got in there but after talking to the owner discovered she was locked up for at least 15 days.

Roush said he has no idea how she survived, but says now she’s well take care of.

“You don’t let animals suffer you don’t hurt people its the right thing to do.”

A more than 1,000 mile tripthat ended with a good deed from an attentive employee. And now is in a room with an air-conditioning, and plenty of food and water for a feline with a fighting spirit to survive.

Roush said the owners of the cat are expected to be in White City Thursday to pick her up.
