A high speed chase in Cave Junction forced police to shoot and kill an out of control driver.
The shooting happened last night on the 900 block of holland loop in cave junction. Police say 47 year old Walter Phillips was driving out of control last night.
Investigators say when they tried to pull Phillips over, he refused.
Police say in order to stop Phillips, they were forced to shoot at his car.
The suspect is now dead. The deputy involved suffered minor injuries. Police continue to investigate the shooting, count on NBC 5 News for updates on this story.
