Prescription drug drop off

Medford police joined up with the D.E.A for the national prescription drug take-back day.

The event gives people a chance to safely throw away their unwanted and unused prescription drugs. The intention is to keep the prescription medication out of the local water supply as well as keep them out of the hands of children that can find them inside the house and begin using them and keeping them off the illegal drug market. At last check, 60 pounds of pills were dropped off at today’s event. But, if you still need to get rid of your prescription pills, don’t worry, you can drop them off at the police department year round.
