Community Helps Easter Seals Re-Open

Following up to a story we brought you a few weeks ago about a non-profit organization having to shut their doors due to rain and flooding. Well some good news to report. After hearing our story, a number of volunteers in the community came forward to help with the clean up efforts. Saturday afternoon Easter Seals re-opened their doors to 15 children with disabilities.

“It was pretty nerve racking and we were being very patient and just kind of allowing things to happen and allowing chips to fall where they did, and fortunately the community stepped up, it really came down to,” said Katie Shepard with Easter Seals.

But there’s still work to be done. Officials said if you’d like to help, you can make a donation at Premier West Bank and the bank will match every dollar collected.
