Central Point, Ore. — School officials have confirmed to NBC5 News that the Central Point School District 6 School Board voted unanimously to fire Crater High School teacher, 52-year-old Jeffrey Zundel.
Zundel taught world studies at the Renaizzance Academy and was arrested in October after being accused of misconduct with a student.
A School Board official confirmed Zundel was fired for “gross neglect of duty and gross unfitness for duty.”
Zundel has been indicted on 11 counts of 2nd degree sexual abuse and one count of sexual abuse in the 3rd degree and is expected back in court on January 11th.
