Eagle Point, Ore. — The principal of Eagle Point High School has resigned after being placed on administrative leave. Principal Tom McGuire was hired at the beginning of August.
Allen Barber, the Human Resources Director for the school district, says he can’t comment on why McGuire was put on administrative leave or why he resigned.
Principal Jenn Whitehead of Hillside Elementary has been named interim principal of the high school.
Jodi Salinas, Assistant Principal of Table Rock Elementary, will take over her position. The district has posted an application for Assistant Principal of Table Rock Elementary.
