A popular brand of upright vacuum is being recalled.
Vacuum maker Euro-Pro is recalling four models of Shark brand vacuums due to a potential shock hazard.
According to the company, the aluminum wand on some models of the “rotator powered liftaway series, can disconnect from the cleaner’s handle and remain energized with electricity.
The vacuums are either maroon or purple in color and have a clear plastic middle section.
$142,000 vacuums are impacted. They were sold through infomercials and in stores. Recalled vaccuum models numbers are:NV650W, NV651, NV652 AND NV660.
Consumers should stop using the recalled vacuum cleaners and contact Euro-Pro to receive a free replacement wand, 877-593-5140.
