Former Merril city official pleads guilty to stealing almost $100,000

A former Merril City Official is headed to prison after pleading guilty to stealing nearly $100,000.

50 year old Deborah Sue Fuller told a judge on Monday that she took payments made by residents for their sewer and water bills over a five year period. She said she used the money to gamble.

Fuller worked as a recorder for the City of Merrill in Klamath County and she resigned in 2012.

Fuller was ordered to pay $85,000 in restitution.
