Central Point, Ore. — Dozens of people gathered today to celebrate the lives of a Medford couple.
June and Leonard Kranenburg died in a plane crash while vacationing in Alaska late last month.
Their memorial service was held this afternoon at the Evergreen Ballroom in Central Point.
That’s where June spent much of her time teaching dance.
June’s friends say they’re sad but hopeful that June’s legacy will live on in the dance community.
“She touched a lot of lives and there’s a mob of dancers out there who have come to enjoy dancing and a lot of that is a result of June’s efforts,” remembered Ken Lund, a friend of the Kranenburgs.
