Thrill seekers compete to see who is King of the Rogue

Gold Hill, Ore. — Nearly 100 thrill seekers hit the water trying their hand in the King of the Rogue White Water Race

The day started with a fishing derby where competitors earned points by how many fish they caught and the size of the fish.

Then competitors had to maneuver the class three and four rapids in a race down Ti’lomikh falls

“We’ve already had boats hung up on the rocks, we’ve had some people flipped out, one person knocked out a tooth. It is wet, wild, and wonderful,” exclaimed Paddles and Oars President Peter Newport.

The King of the Rogue will be crowned at the Gold Hill beach party, that’s at Beach Park from 5 until 9 tonight.

All the money raised from today’s competition will go toward the Gold Hill White Water Park.
