Medford, Ore. — The fight against GMO’s in Jackson County got organized Thursday night.
The group “Our Family Farms Coalition” met at their new headquarters in downtown Medford’s Woolworth building.
They’re launching a campaign for measure 15-119.
Supporters say the law would protect Jackson County Farms from harmful chemicals by banning GMO’s throughout the county.
The group calls their fight a ‘David and Goliath’ battle.
A group opposing the measure has raised nearly $200-thousand.
The measure goes before Jackson County voters in the May election.
