Wet weather in California hasn’t made a dent to extremely low snow pack

The much needed wet weather in California is not doing much to make a dent in the state’s persistent drought conditions.

Despite snow in the Sierra Nevada’s, readings from the California Department of Water Resources showed Thursday, water content in the northern mountains is 15% of normal for this date, state wide the snow pack is 24% of normal.

Officials with the Department of Water Resources say this should be a wake up call on how important it is to start conserving water.
