GMO’s To Be Discussed At Oregon Special Session

Oregon lawmakers will now consider state control over genetically modified crops.

Aballot measure to ban GMO’s in Jackson County is on the table for 2014, if passed it would stand. Still activists here say counties across the state should make the call.

On Wednesday Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber asked state lawmakers to join him for a special session on September 30.

The group will also be marching to celebrate local farmers on October 12 from Lithia Plaza to Alba Park just after 11 am.
