Gold Hill, Ore. — The City of Gold Hill approves a ban on medical marijuana dispensaries, they say just in order to buy time to amend city code.
The council voted three to three Monday night in favor of a moratorium until May 2015. The mayor had to break the tie.
The Gold Hill City Administrator says staff also got the okay to change the cities zoning law to allow dispensaries.
The administrator says the ban will likely be lifted once the code is changed.
They’re going to hear public comment on the issue in late May.
