640x360_50330B00-NBIKEGrants Pass, Ore. — A Grants Pass man is in jail Friday night after police say he killed two people in a car accident then fled the scene.

Back on January 8th, Oregon State Police say a 1998 Ford F-150 was traveling south on Highland Avenue, when it sideswiped a semi-trailer parked on the right shoulder.

OSP says the driver of the Ford pulled over to the side of the road then fled. When troopers arrived, the passenger, 32-year-old Grants Pass woman Megan Becklund and 36-year-old Ashland man Jeremy Pearson were found dead in the vehicle.

Troopers say the driver, 43-year-old Gabriel Lovell is now facing several charges including two counts of manslaughter and failure to perform duties of a driver to injured persons, which is also a felony.
