Klamath County sheriff being sued for discrimination

SkrahKlamath Falls, Ore. — A Klamath County Sheriff’s deputy will file a lawsuit against Sheriff Frank Skrah and the county for retaliation and discrimination.

The attorney for deputy Geneva Lewis says Lewis was removed from her detective position and reassigned to patrol after she participated in the Department of Justice investigation into the sheriff.

Lewis’ attorney also claims sheriff Skrah lied to the county’s Human Resources Director in an attempt to fire Lewis and singled her out over male deputies for on the job injuries.

Lewis is seeking all of her damages including lost wages and benefits, compensatory damages and her attorney’s fees and costs.
