Marijuana report from Oregon Health Authority

640x360_60113B00-RQHRUOre. — Oregon adults smoke more marijuana than in any other state. That’s according to a new report from the Oregon Health Authority.

The report details trends among youth, where nearly 1 in 10 eighth graders and 1 in 5 11th graders reported using marijuana in 2015. More youth are smoking marijuana than cigarettes.

48 percent of Oregon adults report they’ve smoked marijuana and use is higher among men.

Adults 18 to 24 years old used the drug the most, with 18 percent saying they smoked. The report says youth prevention efforts may be needed as 62 percent of 11th graders say they have easy access to marijuana.
