Grants Pass store fire believed arson

Grants Pass, Ore. — Grants Pass Police believe the cause of a fire at a local food store was arson, according to the press release.

Police and Fire crews responded to a 911 call of a fire at Out Reach Foods Store on Redwood Ave shortly before 11pm Monday night.

According to the press release, crews arrived to find cardboard and pallets burning near the side of the building.

Officers attempted to pull the cardboard and pallets away from the building as the fire started to spread.

Fire investigators estimate the damage costs at around $2,500.

Police believe the fire to be suspicious and say the investigation is still on-going.
