Group raises money against Jackson County GMO ban

Medford, Ore. — The fight to ban GMO’s in Jackson County is getting some push-back.

According to the Oregon Secretary of State’s website, the group “Good Neighbors Farmers” has raised more than $60-thousand in just the last few weeks.

The money will be used to fight a proposed ban of GMO’s which will be on the May ballot.

Contributions to the group include $10-thousand from Western Sugar Cooperative of Denver and the South Dakota Farm Bureau, among many others.

So far they have raised more than $170-thousand.
