Jacksonville Restaurant To Shut Down After 15 Years

For Jeff and Penelope Levin, the past 15 years of owning their own restaurant has been nothing buta wonderful road.

Levin calls his business an unconventional jewish deli, but since the economy sank in 2007 it’s been a struggle to keep the business afloat.

And it’s ultimately the rent that is forcing them to shut down, they are being evicted.

The news of the shut down saddens many customers including Christian Touzetwhose been coming to MacLevins since he was just a little kid.

MacLevin’s itself has made a mark on the community by starting the annual Chinese New Year Celebration, spearheading a collection of items for our troops, and even helping with the making of the statue of Peter Britt on the Britt Festival grounds.

The company will officially close their doors this Sunday at 4pm.

While the Levin’s are planning to stick around the Rogue Valley, they are hoping someone will be able to come forward with job offers for their employees.
