Klamath Falls man with 50+ convictions back in jail

Klamath Falls, Ore. – A 62 year old Klamath Falls man with over 50 felony convictions is back in jail tonight…Russell Moore’s last arrest was just 2 weeks ago.

Detective Sergeant Bob Fenner of the Oregon State Police says officers served a search warrant at Russell Moore’s home late Tuesday afternoon…

“At the residence we found a short barreled shotgun, a black powder handgun, some methamphetamine that was in the pickup that Mr. Moore was driving.

On the third of this month, Moore was arrested after he allegedly tried to run over a sheriff’s deputy.

Police used spike strips to stop Moore following a 100 mile an hour chase.

Klamath County Sheriff Frank Skrah says Moore has 59 felony convictions…

“Mister Moore’s criminal background is weighed by the pound, not by the page.”

Moore was bailed out of jail the same day by his 87 year old mother.

Detective Sergeant Fenner says Moore also tried to get away from police on Tuesday…

“One of our patrol sergeants attempted to stop him near his house when he was in a vehicle – Mister Moore accelerated away.”

Moore was arrested at his home, along with three other people:

34 year old Feather Moore is charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon.

50 year old Marilyn Calhoun is charged with possession of meth.

42 year old Charlotte Delarm of Medford is charged with parole violation.

Police are still processing the evidence.

Meanwhile, Russell Moore remains in jail…for now.

Police say Russell Moore had over $3000 in cash, 3 grams of suspected meth, and an ‘Oregon Trail’ card in his possession during his last arrest earlier this month.
