Klamath Falls, Ore. — Klamath County ranks sixth among Oregon counties in terms of child abuse and neglect.
Bob Pickel of Lutheran Community Services is working to improve those numbers.
The agency was recently awarded a $50,000 grant from the Ford Family Foundation for child abuse prevention.
How can we lift ourselves up, because there’s so many good things going on right now, but somehow, we have to just tweak it just a little bit, so that we’re no longer 31 out of 36, I want to be up in the top 10.”
