Leaking At Hyatt Lake Dam

The Federal Bureau of Reclamation is trying to figure out what to do after observation shows Jackson County’s Hyatt Lake Dam has been leaking water since 2009.

They say the options to fix the leak would be to keep the water at a level of more then a third low or to install a filter system that could cost up to 3 million dollars.

Irrigation officials says losing some of the water level would likely not interfere with water supply for people in Jackson County during normal or wet years.
