Myrtle Creek, Ore. — 68-year old Myrtle Creek man Stephen Merry (pictured) is behind bars today charged with the murder of 29-year old Justin Davis. The Douglas County Sheriffs Office says Davis body was found on Merrys property on the 2800 block of Dole Road Thursday by Davis father, Robert Davis of Sutherlin.
Douglas County Sheriff Deputies and Myrtle Creek Police responded to the residence, and suspected Justin Davis death to be by homicide.
The Douglas County Major Crimes Team, compromised of investigators from the Douglas County Sheriffs Office, Roseburg Police Department, Oregon State Police and the Douglas County District Attorneys Office, was activated and is conducting the investigation.
