Medford Police Arrest Suspect in Cash Register, Sandwich Robbery

Medford Police make an arrest in a robbery at Subway, after the suspect orders a sandwich, and flees with the cash register.

Just after 1 A.M. Sunday morning, police say a man entered the West Main street restaurant and made an order.

When the sandwich was ready, authorities say the man told the employee to open the register she refused, and the man jumped over the counter. The employee was able to lock herself in the bathroom.

The suspect took the register, and fled the scene. Later that day, an MPD officer arrested Robert Houle at Hawthorne Park, after recognizing him from store surveillance video.

He is being held in the Jackson County jail, on $40,000bail.

Houle faces charges of robbery three and criminal mischief one.
