Medford School District Pays Out $500K To Neighboring School Districts

The Medford School District is paying out $500,000 to nearby districts with students attending Medford charter schools.

The Medford District is required to make the payments, and hasn’t since the 2009-2010 school year.

Officials are saying the lapse in payments are due to an oversight by the business office.

The Medford School District will pay $285,000 for the 2010-2011 school year, and another $230,000 to cover this year.
