Brookings, Ore. — A Brookings man was found safe after being reported missing on Wednesday.
The Curry County Sheriff’s Office say 29-year-old Casey Kirkendall left his home following a dispute on Tuesday night and was last seen walking on Whaleshead Road.
Deputies say Search and Rescue found him about two miles from his home in a heavily wooded area.
Kirkendall had climbed into a “tree stand” about 20 to 30 feet above ground and then fell out. He remained on the ground until he was found.
Kirkendall was hypothermic and semi-conscious but alert. He’s being evaluated and treated at Curry General Hospital.
