ODOT looking to make roads safer with new weather cameras

Ore. — The Oregon Department of Transportation is looking to help make the roads a little safer with the installation of four new weather cameras.

Our partners at KPIC reporting the $680,000 project will feed into ODOT’s trip check website and provide drivers passing through Douglas and Coos Counties with more information about traffic and road conditions.

The cameras will be placed along high traffic flow areas.

ODOT continues to add cameras to their system as funding becomes available.
