Primary Election Day is Here

Tuesday is Primary Election day here in the Beaver state. So far, instead of ballots pouring into Jackson county, officials say its more like a trickle.

Down numbers are occurring across the state. As of late Monday, only 19% of ballots made it to the elections office.

The smaller turnout may be a result of the parties unofficially choosing their candidates for President of the United States.

Southern Oregonians will vote for Jackson County Commissioner position 2, County Assessor, and District Attorney, among other seats.

Officials are warning that if you haven’t submitted your ballot just yet, be sure to drop it off at a designated drop site. If you mail it in, your vote will not be counted.
