Red Cross shelter open for another night

REDCROSSOre. — Power outages affecting residents in Grants Pass, forcing a few of them to turn to a Red Cross shelter for a warm place to sleep overnight.

Josephine County Fairgrounds opened up their doors to those who had no where to go when severe weather knocked out power throughout the valley Sunday.

American Red Cross stepped in, providing beds, showers and food for those in need. Red Cross volunteers reported they had five people show up last night and they plan to stay open this evening as well.

The shelter is located at 1451 Fairgrounds Road in Grants Pass.
