It all happened when a boat full of fishermen got stuck in the middle of the river. The men however didn’t panic. They used some modern technology and officials say that’s what prevented the situation going from bad to deadly.
Responders said “We had a fishing party going down river and they became stuck on a rock near an island. They stayed with their boat, didn’t make a bad situation worse and called 911. Between us and Jackson County Sheriff’s office, we were able to get their boat freed and get them on their way to continue their fishing day.”
Officials stress that it is important to stay in your boat if you are ever in the same situation.
