The Glide Cycle, invented by David Vidmar

On Wednesday, the announcement will be made if Jackson County man David Vidmar’s invention, the Glide Cycle, won CNBC’s ‘Make Me a Millionaire Inventor.’ The show’s producer’s contacted Vidmar early in 2015.

“One of the producers bumped into us running and was filming his children with a camera and talked to us, and he just fell in love with the project and said, ‘we need that on TV,’ so they called us.”

Vidmar created the Glide Cycle in 2008, after injuring his knee. He said he wanted to build a bike that supported the majority of rider’s weight. After a couple years, the Glide Cycle was completed.

The final episode will air Wednesday night on CNBC at 10 PM.
