Medford, Ore. — One Rogue Valley woman is helping to gather blankets, sweaters and socks for those in need after hearing of the transient’s death.
“I saw on Facebook that a gentlemen lost his life being froze to death in Hawthorne Park and it just tore at my heart. I had to do something. I can’t just stand by and do nothing. I have to help,” says Jaylene Bushard.
Bushard is hoping to receive as many blankets as she can to donate them to the homeless this Sunday at 1 p.m. at Hawthorne Park. If you’re interested in helping Jaylene, contact her on Facebook.
