NC_mauling0105_700x394Yuba County, Calif. — (KCRA) A 9-year-old California boy is dead after being mauled by three pit bulls.

Yuba County deputies found the boy in a trailer home around 10 a.m. with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Family members have identified the victim as Tyler Trammell-Huston.

Investigators said 24-year-old Alexandria Griffin-Heady left the child home alone with the dogs when she left to go to work.

“When she came back she found the little boy, called 911 and found out that, that’s when the dogs attacked him,” family attorney Roberto Marquez said.
