Clackamas, Ore. — A Seattle man is behind bars after an OSP Trooper says he found about 52 pounds of marijuana inside his vehicle.
Authorities say 38 year old Santichith La Hochingnavong was heading northbound on I-5 near Tualatin when he was pulled over for a traffic violation just before 2:30 this morning.
A subsequent investigation of the vehicle led the trooper to marijuana in the car’s trunk; the pot has an estimated street value of $130,000. Hochingnavong was arrested without incident and put in the Clackamas county jail for unlawful possession and distribution of a controlled substance. A passenger was not arrested.
