Medford, Ore. –Handfuls of kids celebrated the first official day of summer Sunday at the new Splash Pad at Chuck Roberts Park in Talent.
The park opened Saturday and kids and parents said they’re happy to have the water so close to their home.
“If you ever get too hot around here it’s just right here it’s not too far of a walk for people you can ride the bus here,” 11-year-old Anthony Normand said.
The kids said along with swimming and playing in the water other favorite summer activities include riding bikes and camping.
