It's the climateGrants Pass, Ore. —  Grants Pass is now considered one of America’s poorest cities. That’s according to a study by 24/7 Wall Street.

With a metropolitan area population over 50,000 people, the city is now being compared to much larger cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Josephine County has a higher percentage of low-paying jobs and 25 percent of the population is 65 and older.

The study looked at areas with the lowest and highest median household incomes, as well as, figures on poverty, home values, income distribution and educational attainment from 2014 and 2015.
