Medford, Ore. — Surveillance video helped Medford police nab a suspect they say burglarized a home while the residents were sleeping inside.
Police say 33-year-old Daniel Ballard was recognized in the footage after he took a wallet, mountain bike and a backpack from a home on the 700 block of Spring Valley Drive on Friday morning.
Police say Ballard was already wanted for taking off from the Jackson County Work Release Center. The bike and backpack have been recovered.
Ballard is being charged with several counts of identity theft and burglary.
