Terminal Prognosis For Beloved Sitcom Actress

Sad news to report today about longtime sitcom star Valerie Harper. The actress may only have three months to live. People Magazine is reporting the 73-year-old actress, best known as wise-cracking neighbor Rhoda Morgenstern on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

Harper says doctors diagnosed the cancer in January. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2009. The diagnosis came following an x-ray she received before surgery for a broken wrist.

Valerie Harper says she plans to live her last days with courage and humor.
