Time is running out to sign up for health insurance

Medford, Ore. — If you still haven’t signed up for health insurance through the federal exchange time is running out.

The final openenrollment deadline for healthcare.gov is Sunday at midnight.

After that, you will not be able to sign up until the next open enrollment period, which leaves you without health insurance for the rest of the year.

“The doors are closed absolutely through private insurance companies through the federal exchange you can’t buy insurance unless you have a qualifying event outside of those parameters,” Insurance Lounge’s Health Insurance Manager Christine Hopkins said.
